This indie 4 piece from London brought us Fluffy first and now this slice of fabulous moody guitar slickery. In case you were worried this meant XX style seriousness, fret not. The mercy T’s for this release feature the Chuckle Brothers.

This latest really IS miserable, yet the music belies that and then the glorious tone of Saint Saviour kicks in and you’re off – they could be singing about genocide and you wouldn’t care.

Here’s one more for the guitars aren’t dead argument – as if i ever took part in that. Sraightforward but with enough scouse nouse to make it intriguing. This new 4 piece have another track Youth doing the rounds too.

This is the first single from Kids in La, this LA duo’s second album and it’s a real 80′s electro pop with a touch of Bangalter about it. I’ve heard the album, it’s a fine slice of danceable intelligent pop.

They’re a 3 piece from Wolverhampton who you met via I’m a Lazer, You’re a Radar in January.This is the title track of their latest ep and shows them starting to get a handle on their wild pony guitar style and offer up something that harnesses that energy.

Cadenza (aka Oliver Rodigan) hooks Deena Jonez up with some quality dancehall infllected hip hop beats and produces this party smasher, due in July.

Skyway Get Yours
From the duo’s forthcoming album We Are Skyway this is as good am introduction to this rapper/producer singers team up as is possible. Future beach blanket party music. In a globe. With steam.

Catfish & the Bottlemen Homesick
This 4 piece have got a few ‘types’ in a lather, and whilst I wasn’t feeling their first (now really old and I thnk deleted) effort, this has them hitting their stride in fine form. Check their Homesick t shirts – featuring what can only be presumed is a homesick sperm.

Denai Moore Fatigue
Ooh, this is really great. It seems to start out one thing then becomes another, which is always hard to do, end especially impressive given that the lady is only 19. From the Saudade ep out now.

Brooklyn’s Joel Ford (Ford and Lopatin) and LA’s Ian Evans have come together to make this slice of shimmering gorgeousness. It’s so vivd, it’s enough to induce synaesthesia. Erika from Au Revoir Simone drops the vocals and we’re all very giddy about the promised album.

He is Southampton Luke Donovan, and this is a track from his brand new LP, out last week on Mexican Summer.
he played all the music and all the records, literally sourced from a box of records he found on a walk by a council block’s curbside garbage. Donovan chopped them up and fed them through his sampler then seriously messed around with them, adding his own instrumentation.
Each song is a nugget, cobbled together yet sounding coherent and gleaming with all the facets within.

About this time last year I introduced you to this chap via his remix of remixes project (star slinger’s anything). it was a self proclaimed attempt to get attention. well it worked, he’s got two new tracks up on amazing, and this is his newest.
mellow paced effort, achieving its greatness in its fragility dressed in an unabashed emotional honesty.
Apparently produced by Emile Haynie, of Eminem, Kid Cudi, and Lana Del Rey fame, and with a video and an EP to follow, this could mark a serious entry into wider audience recognition for Shear Jashub.
