HOODLUMS are five dreamers from Southend by the sea who play lovelorn tunes with a raffishly soulful spirit. “Estuary boys Hoodlums are not hoodies. They have quiffs. And twangy, quivery guitar riffs.” – Artrocker

BEAR DRIVER released their debut ep ‘Paws & Claws’, in the Spring of 2009; a dreamy-psychedelic-pop record cooked up in a bedroom studio, that quickly found it’s way on to the airwaves. A further release ‘Mind Attack’ appeared that summer on Dance To The Radio, and soon the band were invited to play Leeds/Reading and End Of The Road Festivals and in autumn appeared at In The City. Described as “…kind of like children’s party entertainment by Arcade Fire”, Bear Driver mix fuzzy pop songs with ambitious choruses, and a playful use of instruments. Having just returned triumphant from The Great Escape, debut single ‘Wolves’ is to be released on July 5th through Ada/Warner.

Playing his beat up guitar in almost every venue London has to offer – from the 12 Bar to the 100 Club and the Rhythm Factory to Tate Britain. Now armed with his band: Graeme Brown and John Devolle (ex Junkbox) playing a strange mix of perverse blues and twisted country-garage. In summer 2010 they recorded and produced an EP “And Friends” by themselves in a Hackney Wick warehouse – sickened by the current state of the music industry they put it out for free download to the acclaim of their fans and London underground scene…
